Week 14 Reading Reflection
1) What was the biggest surprise for you in the reading? In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different from your expectations?
- The biggest surprise to me in this week’s reading assignment was the list of global breakthrough innovators presented in page 36. Even though I would have liked to see more innovators from around the world, I think the list really showcases the talent pool that U.S brings to the table.
2) Identify at least one part of the reading that was confusing to you.
- I think the typology of entrepreneurship styles part was a bit confusing for me. The High-low, high-high, low-high, and the chart that has these combinations was a little confusing. However, when you look closely at it and spend more time on it, it becomes clearer.
3) If you were able to ask two questions to the author, what would you ask? Why?
- If I had a question to ask the author, I think I would ask about the types of risks. The career risk, financial risk, social risks, and the psychic risks seems like a lot to handle. If you had to put a number on these types of risks, I would ask a question about that. The percentages/statistics.
4) Was there anything you think the author was wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?
- I don’t think there was anything the author was wrong about. It was well written and I enjoyed reading it.
