1.) Determination – From a young age, I think I was
always determined to finish what is in front of me. Achieving the highest
possible level was a big thing for me and I am still the same way. I like to
finish what I started and love to see the accomplishments when it’s all said
and done.
2.) Motivation – There are no way something/someone can
deter me from reaching a goal. I have the ability to stay on course for long
periods of time and I am able to focus on what needs to be done.
3.) Easy to communicate and understanding – I can
communicate very easily with people and I can understand them from where they
come from. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and understanding
different perspectives come very naturally to me.
4.) Listener -I like to listen. I think it’s a very
important skillset that people overlook and does not think twice about. I think
it’s very important to listen first and not jump into things.
5.) Think Win/Win – Like Stephen Coveys habits, I like to think there is a win win situation to every problem. I would rather have everyone win than win/lose. Not only is it important for me to win, I like to help the others I am working to also have a win win situation.
Interview the five people who know you the best.
- I had trouble uploading one by one so I had to record the whole thing as a video and put it up.
The order of the recording are as follows:
1.) Steve - He spent a lot of time talking about experience and my work ethic. I've know Steve for about 10 years.
2.) Eddy Park - My childhood friend. If there is something that I don't know about my self, he knows it. I think he sees me work hard and he spent a little bit of time talking about those qualities
3.) Andrew Im - Knew Andrew for about 6 years. Met him at UCF awhile back and we clicked right away. We match because we are both goal oriented and motivated to succeed.
4.) Ava Lee - My childhood friend from church. She is probably the hardest working person in the whole world and for her to say some of the things she mentioned, it was definitely a good feeling. She mentions a lot about being nice and being compassionate.
Reflect on the differencesI think for the most part, I agree with everything that my friends said. I see my self as patient, caring and goal oriented and it is something I take pride in. Its good to hear that many of my friends think the same way about me. I am fortunate to have friends that are able to assess me as well as I could about my self. It speaks volumes when they tell me these things and I try t be better everyday. If I had to think of one thing that thy left out or didn't mention is the part of me being a student. I love being a student and I love to learn. I like being in a classroom with others and learning everyday. I love to learn.
For the most part, I am happy with what they gave me and I am appreciative of their help on this assignment.
Hi Brian,
ReplyDeleteI think that hard work, determination, kindness, and a love of learning are very important qualities for everyone to have especially entrepreneurs. Your friends seem to think very highly of you and based on what they said it sounds like you know yourself very well. I had a hard time understanding some of the audio but for the ones I did here they were extremely positive. It is always nice to hear great things about yourself from the ones who know you best and from those you respect. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Brian! Your audio interviews were great! I found this project a little challenging to do because we were basically asking our friends to say nice things about us, but that also made it fun! You have very good and thought-out skills in the first section, and I think it is great that your friends saw most of them too.

Hi Brian,
ReplyDeleteYou’ve done a great job on this assignment. I wasn’t able to complete it on time, but the fact that you did so pays testament to the determination you cited as your strength and the work ethic that Steve discussed. It seems that your friends agree with what you’ve cited as your strengths. Furthermore, the longevity of most of these relationships further bolsters not only the sincerity of their responses but also the correct nature of your initial list of personal strengths.
